US A2P Business Brand Registration
All A2P traffic towards the United States needs to be registered with the carrier networks.

In the past year, there have been certain changes to the way A2P (application-to-person) messaging works in the US. T-Mobile and AT&T have proposed new traffic regulations, campaign processing rules on their networks and per-message carrier fees for unregistered traffic.
All of the changes should result in higher throughput, increased deliverability, and improved customer engagement for the registered brands.
The registration process is quite simple and our team takes care of everything, including the consultation, documentation, processing, and enabling your workspace to keep working without any problems for your US campaigns via Emitto. If you already have your business verified then we have most of the data required for this process ready.
There are two steps in the registration process described below: the Business Brand Registration and the Campaign Purpose Registration.
Business Brand Registration
You must identify who you are and what your brand represents. This includes your official business and brand name, physical address, business type (LLC, LTD, etc.)

Campaign Purpose Registration
You must provide details on your use case(s). This includes what type(s) of messages you intend to send to your end-users, campaign use case, description and two sample messages.
How long will the process take?
The registration process can take anywhere from 5 to 14 business days and our team from Emitto will be there every step of the way.
What are the costs related to the registration process?
If you are sending less than 3,000 SMS per Emitto Workspace daily you only need to register your Business Brand. There is a one-time fee of $30 for Business Brand Registration.
If you plan to or currently send more than 3,000 SMS per Workspace daily or have more than 5 US phone numbers active on your Emitto Workspace you should perform both Business Brand and Campaign Purpose registration. The fee for your Business Brand Registration in this case is $50 one-time and the fee per Campaign Purpose Registered is $75 one-time. You are able to register multiple Campaign Purposes, such as Marketing campaigns, Delivery Notifications, Low Volume Mixed, and similar.
The imposed one-time per campaign purpose registration fees are required from the T-Mobile carrier for this process.
What happens if I don’t register my brand?
Any unregistered traffic will be subjected to higher per message cost and additional carrier fees, but also their traffic will get filtered by the carrier which can result in messages not being delivered to the end-user.
Emitto fees stay the same, which is currently 1 credit per SMS for the US and these changes are a direct carrier policy not related to Emitto pricing.
